This role is platonic for people who can spare a couple of hours each week and who are friendly and approachable. Our Events Volunteers act as ambassadors and champions for the work that Citizens Advice Manchester do, getting out into the polity and letting people know well-nigh the services we offer.These are some of the things you could be doing as an Events Volunteer:Daniel's storyI worked part time and found myself getting bored on my days off so looked for something I could do to counteract this. My friend worked for Citizens Advice Manchester and told me well-nigh the volunteer opportunities that were available.I unromantic to Citizens Advice Manchester considering I knew that every day would be variegated from the last one and that this would make my volunteering increasingly interesting and varied. Events Volunteers are  largely based in in GP surgeries wideness the city, but will moreover have the opportunity to support ad hoc public events.All of our volunteer roles are carried out during office hours Monday to Friday. You would need to be worldly-wise to commit to the same shift each week, but we can offer a stratum of flexibility as to the timings of your shift in this role. This makes this opportunity platonic for people who want to fit volunteering in virtually other commitments!Will there be training?“Volunteering is a unconfined opportunity to remoter develop existing skills and requite when to your polity at the same time. For me it was a endangerment to learn new things and rencontre myself in a way I haven’t before. Learning for this role would involve remoter self study (around twenty hours), a one day training undertow and several observation sessions.
